At 7 pm on Tuesday, March 24, His Holiness the Karmapa will be awarded an honorary PhD and will deliver a lecture at the University of Redlands Memorial Chapel. Tickets for this event were free and the chapels 1,700 seats were all taken within 40 minutes. The university added an overflow room option, and tickets to that were gone soon thereafter. For those who did not obtain a ticket, the event will be webcast live here. For those swift enough to have secured themselves a ticket, here are some tips to make the experience smooth.
Memorial Chapel and Orton Center are located on the north side of campus. Suggested parking lots are highlighted on the campus map.
Parking is free to the public and a permit is not required.
Directional signage is provided on campus between Memorial Chapel and Orton Center.
Please reference your ticket confirmation to ensure you locate the correct venue.
Ticket Will Call opens at 6:00 pm at at both venues.
The Heart is Noble will be on sale at the Memorial Chapel starting at 6:00 pm.
Food, drinks and flash photography are not allowed in the Memorial Chapel.
